Recently, the volunteer team from Dongchang Group joined hands with Shanghai Charity Foundation to carry out caring activities for children with autism in Shanghai Aihao Children's Rehabilitation Training Center. They accompanied the children to spend a warm and fulfilling day by playing games and making crafts with the children.
On that day, the volunteers went to Aihao with their loving care and the elaborately prepared gifts. At the beginning, the teachers in the Center matched the volunteers with the children to play games. Initially, the children tried to be away from the volunteers, who talked with them with patience and guided them to play games. Gradually, children became familiar with them.
Afterwards, the volunteers and the autistic children came to the crafting classroom to DIY - doing potted plant of succulents. The children mixed the soil evenly with a small shovel and filled the flower pots with the soil, while the volunteers inserted the succulent roots into the soil. During the process, some children were very active, running around, and the volunteers accompanied them patiently to successfully complete the planting; others were held by the volunteers to plant the potted plants with their own hands. “My child is very happy today. I was never allowed to take a picture of him before. But today he asked me to take photos of us together.” said the mother of one autistic child, expressing her gratitude to the volunteers who accompanied him.
Autism is one of the childhood developmental diseases with the highest incidence. It is also a disease that seriously affects the development of children and lasts for a lifetime. Autistic children, who are delicate and sensitive, often refuse to communicate, with limited interest. They are like small stars wandering alone and thus are also called “children of stars”.
Finally,Dongchang Group donated money to Aihao for facilitating the children’s rehabilitation and learning. Dongchang calls on more people to understand, protect and embrace this special group of children with autism, while encouraging their parents to come out to communicate with caring people from all walks of life to help the children grow.
Charity is a loving “Long March”. As a company with a strong sense of social responsibility, Dongchang Group has always been grateful for its steady development while vigorously performing charity activities such as donating for poverty alleviation and disaster relief. In the future, Dongchang will continue to pay attention to children with autism and carry out more caring activities, so that Dongchang's charity will reach farther and bring hope to more people.
